The early 2011 to early 2012 stretch between Marvel’s Fear Itself and Avengers vs. X-Men is a fascinating moment for the publisher. Whether realized or not, the publisher is building steadily towards Marvel Now!, especially in the face of DC’s 2011 launch of the New 52. Nonetheless, there are tons of strong comics from this time period.
