DC Comics has maintained their status as comic book retailer and critic’s favorite son throughout 2018. Now approximately two years since the launch of DC Universe: Rebirth #1, the publisher has been hitting a *majority* of the right notes (though far from all given the damn countless number of comics credits that still bear the dark mark of Eddie Berganza). “So my question to you after reading your site.
If someone had access to nearly all marvel and dc comics, back to even the Timely era of Marvel. Where would you begin reading? My plan is not to do more then 50 of a series in a hit to prevent burnout but I also am a bit unsure if I should begin in the beginning or the silver age era or just throw darts at a board?
At the end of the day it’s my decision I know, but I was hoping for some thoughts from someone who I can see is educated in the craft.

There’s no arguing it: Batman v Superman is divisive. It’s right there in the title, in all the trailers, and now in the critics and audience reviews. There’s Day vs. Night, Man vs. God, Clark vs. Bruce. The movie is combative on a macro level as well, with a battle between wanting so badly for this first entry in the DC Expanded Universe to succeed, and the depressing final product.
