Stephen King’s The Dark Tower Comic Book Reading Order

When you consider the players – Stephen King, Marvel Comics, Peter David – it’s remarkable how far under the radar The Dark Tower comic book run can fall. While Marvel is perpetually well known for the likes of Spider-Man, Iron Man, and their superhero universe, beginning in 2007 Marvel also published a successful comic book adaptation of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower series.

To date, the comic book run is broken into three fairly clear sections, although the collected trades of the comics can be confusing and hard to navigate.

Below you’ll find a complete reading order for Dark Tower comics.

  • I’ve only read the comics and want to know how the story ends! Is there a book I can pickup where the comics left off?

    • It never ends!
You can pick up the story from here with The Dark Tower III: The Wastelands.
The Dark Tower IV: Wizard & Glass is a flashback and mostly covered in the comics before The Gunslinger.

    • Nobody seems to know. I hope it carries on and they don't end it with no conclusion such as they did with 'The Talisman'.

      • There is a conclusion. . . kinda. Read the books. The story continues with The Wastelands, Book 3. Blaine the train is a pain!
