Spider-Verse #1 Review!
I didn’t know until this week that Spider-Verse #1 was going to be an anthology. I want to mention up front that I expected for a long time that this book would be a major chapter within the Spider-Verse story. It isn’t that. Instead, it’s six stories of varying shortness that either flesh out a Spider-Person we’ve seen on the edges of the event, introduce us to a new character, or parody some aspect of the Spider-Man mythos. LIFE AFTER LOGAN #1: “You” “In His Honor” and “A Little Piece of You”
This one shot comic deals the reader three separate stories of Wolverine’s friends from the X-Men dealing with his recent demise. It helps to see the bigger picture of the impact this death will have on the Marvel Universe by seeing microcosms of grief and remembrance from specific characters. Especially seeing as most of the key players in the Marvel Universe are currently tied up in the events of AXIS, leaving little room to talk about the death of Wolverine.
