Question of the Week: How Do Character Reading Orders Fit in With the Guide?

Good question this week that I haven’t done a great job explaining. I’ve been on the grind lately working up some Captain America, Amazing Spider-Man and X-Men reading orders in connection with the recent films. As a result, Hags asks:

Can you explain (or point me in the direction where you have already explained) How your specific reading orders (i.e. x-men or spider-man) fit in with your complete Marvel reading guide?  Are these a part of the guide, just pulled out and separated for fans of the individual series that might not want to read all of the other titles?

Question of the Week: What’s Up With Marvel Unlimited Offline Reading?

As you all know by now, I’m unabashedly in love with Marvel Unlimited, Marvel Comics’ digital subscription library. Even my wife is like, “You’re going to have to choose between one of us eventually.” On a human to human level, I’m not that comfortable with my answer.

My relationship with the Marvel Unlimited app is significantly more complicated (though not necessarily more than my marriage; women, amirite?!). The app is both wonderful (I use it daily), and flawed (ok, can’t read 33% of that panel). The Android app updates of early April have given us Wave 2 of the MU app, and the results are mostly very positive. Reviews on the Google Play Store are gradually reflecting improvement, now nearly at 3.5 out of 5 (up from an abysmal 2).

Nothing in Marvel comics is as vast and sprawling as the universe of the X-Men. Question of the Week: Does Comic Book Herald Have a Facebook Page?

Everywhere I go this week, I hear the same thing: Does Comic Book Herald have a Facebook page? Do you think Dave knows it’s May 20, 2014 and running a borderline popular website with no Facebook page is absurd? How old is he actually? The oldest? Do you think he writes these blog posts on stone tablets like George R.R. Martin, but with way less skill? Does he even know it’s Christmas?

Lotta questions, and a lot of good ones in there that I may need some more time to answer. But one I can address right here and now: Comic Book Herald now HAS A FACEBOOK PAGE. If you’re the sort who spends time on Facebook (see also: living and breathing in modern times and not some anachronistic super soldier), a like would be much obliged. In addition to the latest and greatest on Comic Book Herald, I’ll be sharing quite a bit of comic book reading order thoughts and news as they come to me. Question of the Week: Where Should I Start With Guardians of the Galaxy?

Update 12.15.16: Comic Book Herald’s updated, complete Guardians of the Galaxy reading order

A bit late with this week’s “Question of the Week” not due to lack of awesome questions (seriously you guys went nuts!), but because of some other comic book writing commitments. That’s right, your fearless Comic Book Herald mastermind has taken has talents to South Beach! Wait, what’s that, it’s 90 degrees and humid down there? Scratch that, I’m sweating just thinking about it.

You will find me reviewing comics on Tuesdays and Thursday over at Capeless Crusader, though. And on occasion, I provide comic book suggestions on Ript Apparel’s blog (if you like custom tees for $10, you gotta give this site a look).
